X Series at a Glance
The Hangcha X Series 6-10 t tow tractor is a seated electric tractor for pulling trolley trains and trailers around warehouses, factories and yards. Towing capacity runs from 6,000 kg on the QDD60 to 10,000 kg on the QDD100, and the 7-9 t models also come as long-wheelbase -L versions. As an electric tow tractor, it's built for towing rather than lifting, with a small rear loading platform 395 mm deep and 908 mm wide.
- Size: 996 mm wide and 1,830 mm long (2,045 mm for the -L models and the QDD100), with a 1,650-1,865 mm turning radius and a coupling that sets at 274, 330 or 386 mm.
- Speed and grades: 18 km/h unladen and 8.5-11.2 km/h at full load, slower as capacity rises. Gradeability is 25% unladen but 5% at full load, so plan routes without steep ramps.
- Battery: a 48V lead-acid battery (300-420Ah) as standard, or a lithium iron phosphate pack on the -I models (48V/302Ah, or 456Ah on the QDD100). The lithium pack charges fully in about 2 hours against 8-10 hours for lead-acid, so on multi-shift work you can top it up at breaks. It carries a 6-year or 12,000-hour warranty and has built-in heating for cold conditions.
Every model has a 4.5 kW AC drive motor, hydraulic brakes on the front and rear wheels and an electromagnetic parking brake. The battery rolls out from the side for servicing or a quick swap, both axles have a fully flexible suspension, and an emergency power-off switch, LED lights and an LCD display with fault self-diagnosis are standard. Options include a canopy with or without a windscreen, a fully enclosed cab, an OPS system, super-elastic solid tyres and warning lights. Trains over 10 tonnes need the X Series tow tractor 6-18 t.
