Choosing Between the LM940 and LM946
The LM940 is a 2,500 kg wheel loader with a 1.3 m³ bucket, an 85 kW Yuchai 4105T engine and a 6,500 kg operating weight. It dumps at 3.8 m and runs on 16/70-24 tyres with 37° articulation.
- Against the LM938: 500 kg more rated load, a 0.3 m³ larger bucket and 200 mm more dump height, with a wider 6,000 mm turning radius.
- Against the LM946: the LM946 adds 300 kg of rated load, a 1.5 m³ bucket and a 6-cylinder 92 kW engine at 8,200 kg, with the same 3.8 m dump height and turning radius.
- Cycle: 6.5 s to lift and 5.5 s to lower the bucket.
A torque converter with 4 forward and 4 reverse speeds, hub-reduction axles, an air-boosted dual brake circuit and a climate-controlled cab with an HD rear camera are standard.
