Choosing the LM946 Over the LM940
The LM946 is the largest LM wheel loader: 2,800 kg rated load, a 1.5 m³ bucket, an 8,200 kg operating weight and the range's only 6-cylinder engine, a 92 kW Weichai Deutz WP6G125. It runs on 17.5-25 tyres.
- Against the LM940: 300 kg more rated load, a 0.2 m³ larger bucket and 1,700 kg more weight, with the same 3.8 m dump height, 6,000 mm turning radius and 2,710 mm wheelbase.
- Cycle: 6.5 s to lift and 5.5 s to lower, matching the LM940.
- Bucket width: 2,400 mm, the widest in the range.
The triple-layer articulating hinge, hub-reduction axles, torque converter with 4 forward and 4 reverse speeds and climate-controlled cab with an HD rear camera are standard.
