Choosing an Explosion-Proof Electric Forklift: Capacity and Battery
This explosion-proof electric forklift is built for hazardous areas: the brochure marks it Exde(ib)mbs II BT4 Gb and Ex tD(ibD)mbD A21 IP65 T130°C, for gas Zones 1 and 2 and dust Zones 21 and 22. The motors, controller, lights, accelerator, instrument panel and battery are all explosion-proof types. Capacities run from 1,000 to 3,500 kg across six models.
- 1-1.5 t: a 48V/420Ah battery, a 1,900 mm turning radius, 12/13 km/h travel and 13% laden gradeability.
- 2-2.5 t: a 48V/630Ah battery, 2,040-2,090 mm turning radius and 10% gradeability.
- 3-3.5 t: an 80V/500Ah battery, 2,230-2,310 mm turning radius and 10/12 km/h travel.
A 3,000 mm wide-view duplex mast is standard, with full free duplex and triplex masts, a sideshifter, dual or solid tyres and a charger as options. Service weight, including the battery, runs from 3,200 kg on the 1 t model to 5,460 kg on the 3.5 t. Check the certification marking against your site's hazardous area classification before choosing a model.
