Choosing a 5-10 t Rough Terrain Forklift: Capacity and Drive
The Hangcha heavy rough terrain forklift covers 5,000, 7,000 and 10,000 kg at a 600 mm load centre, for heavy loads on unpaved yards and sites. The 5 t and 7 t models are offered in two-wheel and four-wheel drive, while the 10 t model is 4WD only; 4WD versions switch between 2WD and 4WD with one key.
- 5 t: masts up to 6,000 mm, 370 mm of clearance at the wheelbase centre, and a Deutz TCD3.6 at 55.4 kW (Stage V or Stage IIIB) or a Cummins QSF3.8 at 86 kW.
- 7 t: duplex masts up to 5,000 mm, the best laden gradeability in the range at up to 68%, and a Cummins F3.8 at 90 kW (Stage V) or QSF3.8 at 86 kW.
- 10 t: 2,550 mm wide on 17.5-25 front tyres, with 424 mm of clearance, 80 x 160 x 1,520 mm forks and a 5,000 mm maximum lift.
All models have wet brakes, an electro-hydraulic shift, dual air filters, a high-position exhaust and a full-suspension seat. A cab, front windshield, solid tyres, extra hydraulic valves and a -20 °C cold-start battery are optional. Two-wheel drive turns tighter, in 3,550 mm (5 t) and 3,960 mm (7 t) against 4,150 mm and 5,290 mm for 4WD. For loads up to 3.5 t, see the 4WD rough terrain forklift 2.5-3.5 t.
