Choosing a 2WD Rough Terrain Forklift: Capacity and Engine
The 2026 Hangcha two-wheel drive rough terrain forklift is built on the XF series IC forklift and comes in 2,500, 3,000 and 3,500 kg capacities at a 500 mm load centre. Each capacity is offered with one of three diesel engines, so the choice comes down to the load you lift and the emissions standard your site requires.
- Kubota V2607 (CPCD25/30/35-XW98E-RT2): 47.3 kW, EU Stage V and Tier 4f with a DOC and DPF, and the best laden gradeability at 29-32%.
- Yanmar 4TNE98 (XW33E-RT): 42.1 kW, Stage IIIA and EPA Tier 3, with 22-27% laden gradeability.
- Xinchai 4D32 (XG72E-RT2): 45 kW, with the same 22-27% gradeability as the Yanmar version.
The 2.5 t model is 1,557 mm wide on 12-16.5 front tyres with 235 mm of clearance under the mast, while the 3 t and 3.5 t models move to 14-17.5 tyres and 270 mm. All three share a 2,900 mm turning radius, a suspension hydraulic transmission and a 4-inch colour LCD instrument with CAN bus. The standard lift is 3,000 mm, with duplex masts to 4,500 mm and full free triplex masts to 6,000 mm.
