Choosing an X Series Multidirectional Side Loader: Capacity and Battery
The X Series multidirectional side loader carries long loads lengthways through narrow aisles. It drives forwards, sideways or turns on the spot, with turning radii of 2,388 mm in straight mode, 2,485 mm in sideways mode and 1,675 mm in 360-degree mode. Capacities of 3,500, 4,000 and 4,500 kg are rated at a 600 mm load centre, each with an 80V lithium or lead-acid battery.
- CCD35: 3,500 kg, the fastest at 11/12 km/h laden and unladen with 9% laden gradeability, and a 21 kW lift motor.
- CCD40 and CCD45: 4,000 and 4,500 kg with a 25.4 kW lift motor, 10/12 and 9/12 km/h travel and a 6,800 kg service weight.
- Battery: lithium (ID models) at 456-536Ah and 400-420 kg, or lead-acid (D models) at 480-660Ah and 1,240-1,680 kg.
The truck is 2,500 mm wide and needs a 2,600 mm aisle for a 1200 x 6000 mm load carried crossways. A 4 m duplex wide-view mast is standard, and triplex masts reach 8 m, where capacity falls to 2,000-2,500 kg. Two 5 kW drive motors, electronic steering, a safety pedal and an OPS system are standard. Other masts, attachments and a fully suspended seat are optional.
