Choosing an X Series Telehandler: Engine and Stabilisers
The Hangcha X Series diesel telehandler lifts 4,000 kg at a 500 mm load centre to a maximum height of 17.7 m, with a forward reach of 13.02 m. Two models share the same boom, cab and chassis and differ only in engine: the T40-180XH16D with a 90 kW Cummins F3.8, and the T40-180XW70D with an 86 kW Cummins QSF3.8.
- Stabilisers down: 17.7 m of lift and 13.02 m of reach, carrying 2,500 kg at full height and 850 kg at full reach.
- Stabilisers up: the load chart drops to 12.72 m of height and 9.61 m of reach, with 400 kg at full reach, so plan stabiliser use for high or long placements.
- Chassis: 4x4 drive with a 2WD/4WD switch, front, crab and circle steering, frame levelling up to 10° and 400 mm of ground clearance.
The telehandler travels at up to 35 km/h with 4 forward and 3 reverse gears, climbs 40% grades and turns in 4,100 mm on 400/75-28 tyres. A load moment limiter, quick-change fork carriage and hydraulic quick coupler are standard, and a bucket, crane arm and soft bag clamp are optional attachments. For battery power and a lighter machine, compare the XH Series high-voltage telehandler.
