Choosing a 4WD Rough Terrain Forklift: Capacity and Engine
The Hangcha 4WD rough terrain forklift is based on the two-wheel drive model, with drive on all four wheels and a switch to change between 2WD and 4WD. This rough terrain forklift lifts 2,500, 3,000 or 3,500 kg at a 500 mm load centre, with a three-speed suspension hydraulic transmission and a standard differential lock for mud, gravel and slopes.
- Kubota V2607 (XW98C-RT4): 47.3 kW, EU Stage V and Tier 4f, with the highest laden gradeability at 54-60%.
- Yanmar 4TNE98 (XW33C-RT4) or Xinchai 4D32 (XG72C-RT4): 42.1 kW or 45 kW, with 52-58% laden gradeability and 24/26 km/h travel.
- Cummins QSF2.8 (XW43C-RT4): 36.5 kW, Stage IIIA, with 46-52% laden gradeability, offered on the 2.5 t and 3 t models only.
Ground clearance is 240 mm under the mast and 260 mm at the wheelbase centre on the 2.5 tonne model, and 270 mm and 290 mm on the 3 t and 3.5 t models. All versions turn in 3,300 mm, against 2,900 mm for the two-wheel drive version, and run on 10.0/75-15.3 rear tyres. The standard lift is 3,000 mm, with duplex masts to 4,000 mm and triplex masts to 6,000 mm. Where 2WD traction is enough, the 2WD rough terrain forklift 2.5-3.5 t does the job.
