Choosing an All Terrain Forklift
All terrain forklifts work on unsealed ground, gravel and building sites where a standard warehouse machine would bog or lose stability. Our range covers 1.5 tonne to 10 tonne, with rough terrain tyres and higher ground clearance.
Gradient and surface matter more than raw capacity here. Check the slope the machine must climb loaded, not empty, and confirm the tyre type against the worst ground on site rather than the best. Two wheel drive is adequate on firm gravel; wet or loose ground usually calls for four wheel drive.
Before you choose, check:
- Worst surface on site, including after rain
- Loaded gradient the machine must climb and descend
- Two or four wheel drive based on that surface
- Ground clearance against ruts, kerbs and site debris
- Transport arrangements between sites, including machine weight
