Choosing Between the YC60 and U18 Excavators
The YC60 is a 5.7-tonne excavator with a Kubota V2403 engine delivering 30.7 kW at 2,200 rpm, a three-pump hydraulic system with an arm regeneration circuit and an enclosed cab certified to ROPS and FOPS.
- Working range: 3,720 mm digging depth, 5,945 mm reach and 5,740 mm digging height, with 36.6 kN bucket and 27.5 kN arm digging force.
- Attachments: a mechanical quick hitch with a 300 mm trench bucket, a 450 mm general purpose bucket and a 900 mm mud bucket.
- Against the U18: three times the weight, with 1,425 mm more digging depth and 1,820 mm more reach, for jobs beyond a mini excavator.
A swing boom helps on crowded sites, and pilot controls and two travel speeds are standard. The machine is 1,920 mm wide with a 1,520 mm tail swing radius. For a smaller machine that fits narrow passageways, see the U18 mini excavator.
