Choosing Between the E12 and YC10 Mini Excavators
The Yuchai E12 is a 1-tonne mini excavator with a 7.6 kW Koop KD192F engine, an offset boom and a canopy certified to TOPS and FOPS (EN13531). This mini excavator digs to 1,475 mm, reaches 3,050 mm and is 840 mm wide.
- Against the YC10: the same 1,000 kg class and 0.02 m³ bucket. The E12 digs slightly deeper and reaches further, while the YC10 has a Yanmar engine, two travel speeds and an undercarriage that narrows for tight access.
- Hydraulics: preset hammer and rotation lines (three auxiliary lines in total), pilot controls and a 24 L/min pump.
- Digging forces: 8.38 kN at the bucket and 6.73 kN at the arm.
The E12 has a 1,027 mm tail swing radius, a 10 L fuel tank and button start. For a 1-tonne machine with an expandable undercarriage, compare the YC10 mini excavator.
