Choosing an XF2 Series 4-5.5 t Model and Engine
The XF2 Series 4-5.5 t is the updated version of the XF Series, with a smaller turning radius, a 5% lower centre of gravity and a maintenance-free wet-brake drive axle. The specification table covers three engines with identical dimensions: Xinchai 4E30 diesel (EU Stage V), Kubota V3307 diesel (EU Stage V and EPA Tier 4 Final) and Kubota WG3800 LPG.
- 4 t: the narrowest at 1,420 mm, turning in 2,630 mm and working in a 4,390 mm aisle for 1000 x 1200 mm pallets crossways.
- 4.5-5.5 t: a 1,450 mm wide body and a 2,660-2,810 mm turning radius, with 2,300-2,650 kg capacity at a 7 m lift on dual tyres.
- Engine choice: the Xinchai diesel comes with a China-made powershift transmission. The Kubota diesel and Kubota LPG come with an Okamura transmission and climb 25-30% laden, against 21-24% for the Xinchai.
Kubota dual-fuel, PSI 4.3L LPG and Cummins diesel engines are options, and the overhead guard has pre-set holes for conversion to a cab. Ratings are at a 500 mm load centre with a 3,000 mm standard lift. Triplex masts reach 7 m, with 7.5 m or 8 m optional.
