The Hangcha X Series 20-40 t tow tractor is a seated electric tractor for heavy trailer trains, with a fully enclosed cab and a lithium iron phosphate battery as standard. Five models cover rated towing loads from 20,000 kg on the QSD200 to 40,000 kg on the QSD400. The QSD200 to QSD320 come as an 80V or a 305.9V high-voltage version, and the QSD350 and QSD400 run on 96V, so check which suits your charging setup before you order this electric tow tractor.
- Batteries: 80.5V/456Ah or 305.9V/228Ah on the QSD200 to QSD320, and 96V/608Ah on the QSD350 and QSD400, driving 23-35 kW motors.
- Driving: 25 km/h unladen on the QSD200 to QSD320 and 21 km/h on the QSD350 and QSD400, with up to 33% gradeability unladen and a 3,200-3,350 mm turning radius.
- Size: 3,090 mm long and 1,480 mm wide on the QSD200 to QSD320, or 3,448 mm and 1,746 mm on the larger two, with a 450 mm coupling height and a service weight of 3,400-4,720 kg.
Hangcha measures these towing figures on dry, level concrete, so the safe load changes on other surfaces, and you should allow 85% of the listed figure with solid tyres. Vacuum-assisted brakes work on all wheels and still assist for several pedal strokes without power, and the AC controller adds regenerative braking and anti-slip on ramps. The body is rated IPX5 with key electrics mounted high. Options include a semi-enclosed cab, heater, suspended seat, OPS, air conditioning, a reversing camera and solid or non-marking tyres.
