Choosing a Container Handler
Container handlers are built for one job: lifting shipping containers safely and repeatedly. Empty container handlers stack empties several high at speed, while laden handlers carry loaded boxes at much higher capacity.
The decision starts with whether you handle empties, laden containers or both, and how high you stack. Spreader type follows from that, along with whether you need to handle 20 foot and 40 foot boxes on the same machine. Ground bearing capacity also needs checking, since these machines concentrate very high loads through the front axle.
