Choosing an X Series Empty Container Handler: Height and Engine
The Hangcha X Series 9 t empty container handler lifts 9,000 kg at a 1,220 mm load centre with a telescopic spreader for 20 ft and 40 ft containers. Each engine option comes in two mast heights, so the choice comes down to how high you stack and which emissions standard your site needs.
- H90EC-7: stacks 7 high with 8 ft 6 in containers or 6 high with 9 ft 6 in, with an 18,670 mm lift in the twistlocks and a 39,800 kg service weight.
- H90EC-8: stacks 8 high or 7 high, with a 21,270 mm lift and a 41,000 kg service weight.
- Engines: a Volvo TAD881VE at 185 kW (EU Stage V and Tier 4f in the XRH10-U version), a Volvo TAD851VE at 185 kW or a Cummins QSC8.3 at 179 kW (both Stage IIIA).
A DANA transmission with 3 forward and 3 reverse gears gives 26/28 km/h laden and unladen, and the truck turns in 6,000 mm with 22% laden gradeability. The spreader sideshifts ±600 mm, telescopes from 20 ft to 40 ft in under 12 seconds and handles normal and block stacking.
