Choosing an Electric Reach Stacker: Battery and Capacity by Row
The Hangcha XH Series reach stacker handles loaded 20 ft and 40 ft containers on battery power, rated at 45,000 kg in the first row, 31,000 kg in the second and 16,000 kg in the third. It runs on a 618V high-voltage lithium battery that charges from 20% to 100% in about 2 hours, and stacks 5 high in the first row, 5 or 4 in the second and 4 or 3 in the third. Choose by battery size.
- RS4531CH-XHJG (423 kWh): 6,000 mm wheelbase, 8,100 mm turning radius and a 72,600 kg service weight. An anti-corrosion version (-A) shares the same figures.
- RS4531CH-XHJG-C (560 kWh): a longer 6,250 mm wheelbase for the bigger battery, an 8,300 mm turning radius and a 74,000 kg service weight, for longer shifts between charges.
Both lift to 15,120 mm in the first row, travel at 20/22 km/h laden and unladen, climb 20% and pull up to 230,000 N. The spreader rotates +105/-195 degrees and shifts 800 mm either way, and noise is 67 dB(A). The machine is 4,220 mm wide and needs an 11,350 mm aisle for 20 ft containers on the standard version.
