Choosing a Lithium Pallet Stacker
Pallet stackers lift pallets without the bulk of a counterbalance forklift, which suits back of store, mezzanine and light warehouse work. Our lithium range covers 0.91 tonne to 2 tonnes and includes walkie, platform and ride on layouts.
Lithium batteries charge from a standard outlet during breaks, so a stacker can cover multiple shifts without a battery change. They also need no watering and no dedicated charge room. The trade off is purchase price, which is recovered where the machine works long hours; for a few pallets a day, a manual or lead acid unit may be the better buy.
Before you choose, check:
- Walkie, platform or ride on, based on travel distance per shift
- Straddle legs or initial lift if you handle closed bottom pallets
- Lift height against your top storage level
- Charging points available near where the machine parks
- Hours per day, which decides whether lithium pays for itself
