Choosing an Order Picker
Order pickers raise the operator with the load so items can be picked by hand from height, rather than moving whole pallets. Our range runs from low level stock pickers around 0.45 tonne up to high level narrow aisle models at 2.5 tonnes.
Pick height sets the machine class. Low level pickers suit ground and first level picking at speed. High level machines reach upper beams and often need guidance in narrow aisles, plus a harness and anchor point for the operator. Confirm which levels are picked by hand and which are moved as full pallets before choosing.
Before you choose, check:
- Highest level picked by hand, not the top of the racking
- Aisle width and whether wire or rail guidance is installed
- Operator restraint requirements at height
- Platform size for the cartons or totes you pick
- Battery capacity for continuous picking shifts
